Australia's law enforcement have ended the operation for a four-year-old who has been lost in the wilderness for approximately three weeks, after renewed efforts failed to discover any signs of the youngster.

Sequence of Incidents

Gus Lamont was spotted enjoying himself around his home on a isolated farmland close to Yunta, about 300km from Adelaide, on late September.

His grandmother left him alone for about half an hour before checking on him, only to discover the child nowhere to be found, prompting one of the most extensive comprehensive operations in South Australian past.

Latest Position

Police - who do not suspect wrongdoing - say they will continue investigating, but that the case has become a "search for recovery".

Recently, police temporarily scaled back the hunt, only to resume it on this week alongside numerous defense personnel.
